Information

Known internationally as a unique marine park, the sheltered Hauraki Gulf is home to five protected marine reserves which create the perfect habitat for some of the world’s rarest dolphins, whales and other marine life.  The picturesque islands within its million+ hectares of sparkling waters are home to many protected native bird species including endangered kiwis.

By basing yourself on Waiheke Island, “The Jewel of the Hauraki”, you will be well-placed to experience the diverse natural wonders this area has to offer.

Just 35 minutes from the hustle & bustle of downtown Auckland, the Waiheke Island experience is a unique blend of world-class wining & dining combined with the easy-going “island time” feel… take a short trip to a faraway place!
